What the App Store doesn't tell you
The review guidelines are long. The parts that actually cost you time are not in them.
Things I learned the expensive way
Screenshots sell the app more than the app does. I rebuilt Tamadoggo's first screen four times and changed the screenshots once. The screenshots won.
Rejections arrive at 2am Bucharest time, worded like a parking ticket. None of mine were dramatic. All of them were avoidable by reading the one sentence I skipped.
Ship the boring version first. The interesting version can wait for users who don't exist yet.
That's the whole letter. The next one has numbers.
